CAVIAHUE SKI RESORT AND ITS COMMITMENT TO
NATURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT
At the ski center, immersed in a thousand-year-old araucaria forest, and in our accommodations, we believe that it is our duty to promote sustainable tourism by protecting the Araucarias Forests and minimizing the impact caused by tourist activities and other disturbances (erosion and livestock) so that residents and visitors can continue to enjoy nature.
We assume the commitment that is required to contribute to protecting the natural and cultural heritage, among other responsible actions, by implementing an adequate treatment of water and of contaminating liquid and solid waste, in relation to collection, separation and final disposal of the same and to their recycling that contribute to the sustainability of the mountain.
NATIVE FOREST RESTORATION
The objective is to ecologically rehabilitate degraded shrub-herbaceous steppe sites with Araucaria araucana (Pehuén) forest through erosion control techniques and planting of native tree and shrub species with social participation of local stakeholders.
